Two kidnapped minor girls recovered by police

Srinagar, April 09: Two minor girls (names withheld), who were allegedly kidnapped from Pulwama and Ganderbal districts, have been recovered by police and handed over to their respective families.

A police statement said that the girl had been kidnapped by one accused  Tariq Ahmad Wagay son of Mohammad Abdullah Wagay resident of Armulla Lassipora on 01/04/2018 and accordingly a case FIR No. 94/2018 under section 363 RPC was registered in Police Station Pulwama.

A special team headed by SDPO Litter, SHO PS Pulwama, DO Police Post Lassipora was constituted on the directions of SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam and a manhunt was launched to nab the culprit.  Search was carried out by the team throughout the valley and they left no stone unturned to recover the kidnapped girl, said the statement.

“Finally Police Pulwama succeeded to recover the minor girl and arrested the accused abductor today. The girl was handed over to her parents and the accused is now behind the bars,” the statement added.

The statement said that another minor girl had been kidnapped by one accused Mohd Afzal Beigh son of Gull Beigh resident of Rayil Khour on 08/04/2018 and accordingly a case FIR No. 09/2018 under section 363 RPC was registered in Police Station Gund

A special team headed by SDPO Kangan Shah Umar, SHO PS Gund SI Syed Arif was constituted on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone and a manhunt was launched to nab the culprit.  Search was carried out by the team to recover the kidnapped girl.

“Finally Police succeeded to recover the minor girl and arrested the accused abductor today. The girl was handed over to her parents and the accused is now behind the bars,” said the statement.
