Multi-specialty camps held in Budgam on World Health Day

BUDGAM, APRIL 07: On World Health Day, daylong multi-specialty camps were held at various Primary Health Centers across the district.

One such camp was inaugurated by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam Dr GM Dar in presence of BMO Soibugh Dr Mehmooda at PHC Wadwan of Block Soibugh.

Speaking on the occasion, CMO said that the camp was organized under the directions of Director Health Service Kashmir under the theme “Universal Health Coverage for Everyone Everywhere”

He said that 12 doctors would remain posted at the camp to provide multi-specialty health services to the people.

CMO said that the camps are also being organized at other 17 Public Health Centers of the district, to ensure health services for all.

The camp witnessed a huge rush of patients as locals thronged for examination, by doctors from various branches such as Cardiology, Urology, Neuro Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT, for different health-related problems.

Locals hailed the health department for organizing the camp which they termed as a major relief to them, particularly for those who can’t afford treatment at private hospitals.

Besides examination of patients, free medicines, OPD services, diagnostic services were also set up to provide multi-health services to the patients at the camp.
