Poonch, April 3 : Five army soldiers including an officer were injured in cross-border shelling at Krishna Ghati sector in Mendhar area of Poonch district in Jammu region.
A police officer confirmed the injuries and said that all the five soldiers of 4 MLI regiment were immediately evacuated and airlifted to military hospital Udhampur for treatment.
The officer told GNS that the injuries caused after Pakistani army violated the ceasefire at around 7:30 am. The fire was responded strongly and the intermittent exchange of firing was going on in the area.
