Rising Star Baramulla flay FCC Baramulla by 7 wickets

Baramulla, March 31: In the inaugural match of ‘1st Varmul Cup-2018’, Rising Star Baramulla defeated FCC Baramulla by 7 wickets here at Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla on Saturday. FCC Baramulla elected to bat first after winning the toss and were restricted to 113/7 by Rising Star Baramulla. Ubaid Qureshi played a sensible knock of 43 runs for FCC Baramulla where as Umar Lone scalped 3 important wickets for Rising Star Baramulla.
In reply Rising Star Baramulla chased down the target of 114 runs with 5 overs to spare. For Rising Star, Irfan Amin played a splendid knock of 38 runs. Umar of Rising Star Baramulla was adjudged as player of the match for his match winning bowling spell as he picked up 3 wickets conceding only 20 runs.

The tournament is organised by Baramulla Cricket Forum. Imtiyaz Hussain SSP Baramulla, B.A.Bhat ACR Baramulla, Principal Boys Degree College Baramulla, Kaushiliya Dubai CO. were the guests of honor on the occasion. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Shiekh Mushtaq; Manager Sports Council Baramulla, Tariq Ahmad Lone; President Cricket Forum Baramulla, Hilal Ahmad Zargar, Mohammad Amin Peer and Kifayat Aftab; Renowned Urdu Commentator.
