Dr Jitendra convenes public grievances redressal camp in Majalta

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 30 – Union Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh today said the central government is committed to provide transparent governance to the people and concerted efforts are being made to improve basic amenities in every part of the state.

The Union Minister was speaking during a public grievances redressal camp at Balpur, Majalta in Udhampur district.

On the occasion people apprised him about the problems being faced by them in their respective villages related to power and water supply, road connectivity, healthcare, and education sector.

After listening to their grievances, Dr Jitendra Singh directed the officers to complete the ongoing development projects within the set timelines and keep proper check on the quality of material used in the construction of public assets. He asked them to ensure doorstep delivery of essential services to the people living in rural and far-off areas of the state.

Dr Singh listed the achievements of the present dispensation  and urged them to take maximum benefit of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, PMUY, BBBP, PMFBY and many other centrally sponsored welfare schemes.

He further informed that the government has approved 27 projects under PMGSY in Ramnagar, besides clearing most of the pending road projects. He said in Udhampur, landmark projects were approved by the government including Devika River Cleaning Project and Radio Station for the district.

During the camp, MLA Ramnagar RS Pathania put forth various issues   related to rationalization of staff in government schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya at Majalta, Tawi Ujh lift Irrigation schemes, special recruitment drive for unemployed youth of Ramnagar, enhancement in wages of SPOs, establishment of Trauma Centre at Majalta, up-gradation of Govt High School, Babey to Higher Secondary School, construction of  motorable bridge from Dhar road to Tehsil Headquarter Majalta and upgradation of roads at Sortha, Saaltan and Dargala.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Arvind Sharma, Additional SP, Udhampur Faisal Qureshi, Tehsildar Majalta Ved Parkash and other district and Tehsil level officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
