Chief Justice lays foundation Stone of New District court complex Baderwah

BHADERWAH, MARCH 30:  Chief Justice (Acting), J&K High Court, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, today laid the foundation stone of New District Court Complex and ADR Centre at Bhaderwah.

He was accompanied by Administrative Judge for District Doda, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal.

The Chief Justice (Acting) also inaugurated Free Legal Aid Clinic in BDO Office Bhaderwah and also distributed pension orders and prosthetic aid to beneficiaries including widows, old age persons and physically disabled persons under National Social Assistance Programme.

During interaction with the beneficiaries, the Chief Justice directed the PLVs to visit far flung areas and identify the people who are entitled to the benefits under various welfare schemes of the government and process their cases at appropriate forums. They also directed the Deputy Commissioner Doda to organise a training programme for the PLVs to inform them about the schemes so that they can further make the beneficiaries aware about these schemes.

Chief Justice also inaugurated a Legal Literacy Club in Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah and interacted with the students of the school.

On his visit to the District Court Complex Bhaderwah, the Chief Justice inaugurated E-Kiosk and thereafter inspected the working of the courts and issued directions to the Judicial Officers to dispose-off the pending cases and the cases relating to senior citizens expeditiously.

While interacting with the bar members, the Justices said advocates have an important role to play in the justice delivery system and the ultimate goal must be to make justice available to the common people and help judicial system to deliver it at the door steps of people.

Sanjay Dhar, Registrar General, High Court of J&K, Jawad Ahmed, Pr. Secretary to Chief Justice, R.N Watel, Member Secretary, J&K SLSA, M.K Sharma, Pr. District & Session Judge, Bhaderwah, Abdul Majid, Law Secretary, Bhawani Rakwal, DC Doda and other senior officials of Law department were also present on the occasion.
