Srinagar, Mar 29: A woman died while two girls were injured in separate road accidents in south Kashmir, police said today.
A 50-year-old woman, Raja Begum, died after being hit by a car being driven by one Nissar Ahmad Mir at Awantipora.
“She was shifted to SMHS Srinagar for treatment wherefrom she was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment,” said a spokesman, in a statement. “She succumbed to her injures at SKIMS Soura.”
In another accident, two schoolgirls were injured after the car they were travelling on skidded off the road near Bragam in Dooru area of Anantnag, said the spokesman.
Both the girls from Bimdoora village, were shifted to SDH Dooru for treatment, he said.
Police has registered cases in both the incidents, said the spokesman.
