CWE holds awareness prog at GGHSS Kothibagh

SRINAGAR, MARCH 29: The Centre for Women Entrepreneurship (CWE) of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Thursday conducted mega awareness cum orientation program at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh Srinagar.

The program was aimed at creating awareness and orient the educated unemployed females towards entrepreneurship.

Head Department of Women Studies Centre, University of Kashmir, Prof. Neelofar Ara was the chief guest on the occasion while Dayal Maheshwari, an expert and mentor for startups, Prof. Roshan Ara, Assistant Professor, Women Studies Centre and faculty members from Govt. Women’s College M A Road were also present on the occasion.

More than 270 people participated in the program including students from GGHSS Kothi Bagh, students of NIUST, ITI and Polytechnic courses and some female entrepreneurs sponsored by JKEDI. The participants were sensitized about the need for entrepreneurship in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The participants were made aware of different government schemes being implemented by CWE of JKEDI to foster entrepreneurship in the state of J&K. On the occasion CWE also felicitated some successful female entrepreneurs and presented them mementos.

The Centre for Women Entrepreneurship, Kashmir is dedicated for encouraging females to come forward and chose entrepreneurship as their first career choice. The Centre shall continue such awareness programs in the coming days.
