Army’s seasonal huts along Mughal road set ablaze by unknown persons

Srinagar: Unknown persons on Thursday night set ablaze several seasonal huts belong to the army at Doubjan area along the Mughal road in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Official sources said that the unknown persons suspected to be militants set on fire three to five seasonal huts of army’s 44 RR at Doubjan area.

A police officer said that a report has been received about a fire incident in the area and immediately fire tenders were rushed to the site to douse off the flames.

Asked about reports of seasonal huts gutted in the fire, the officer said that police are verifying the details.

The seasonal huts are being used by the army during summer (April to November), sources said.
