Chairman LC calls on Dalai Lama; Invites him to visit Kargil, Zanskar

JAMMU, MARCH 18: Chairman J&K Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali called on The 14th Dalai Lama here today.

Haji Anayat Ali was accompanied by a delegation from Wakha Mulbekh, Zanskar, and other parts of the Kargil.

The Dalai Lama appreciated Haji Anayat Ali for his efforts to strengthen the communal harmony of Kargil district and said that the communal harmony of Kargil is an example for all. The Dalai Lama stressed upon further strengthening of the bonds of harmony. He also met with the students and people of Kargil district and gave them an inspiring sermon.

Haji Anayat Ali thanked the Dalai Lama for his valuable words of kindness and peace and on behalf of the people of Kargil and Zanskar beseeched upon him to visit Kargil and Zanskar areas. The Dalai Lama acceded to the request and said that within two months he will correspond a proper programme for a probable visit to Kargil district.

President Buddhist Association Kargil, Nawang Tsering, President Buddhist Association Zanskar, Tsewang Chotar, District Vice President PDP  Tashi Tsering, Vice President Buddhist Association Zanskar, Thinles Namgyal, Member of Board of Management Springdales Public School Mulbekh Ishey Londup, President Zanskar Students Union Miss Stanzin Skalzang, President All Kargil Travel Trade Association (AKTTA) Ashraf Ali and Vice President Buddhist Association Zanskar Nawang Singey were present on the occasion.
