Srinagar: With a view to encourage the youth to select the rightful and respectful career in their future, a Career Counselling Program was organised at the Government High School, Lassipura by the Army.
A defense spokesman in a statement issued here said that the motto of the event was “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”.
As much as 500 students from Middle school, Govrenment High School and Mehboob ul Alam School, Lassipora were enlightened about the future prospects in life by renowned counselors from the Center for Career Planning and Counseling (CCPC), University of Kashmir belonging to Medical, Law, Economics and Business fields, the spokesman said.
Seizing the opportunity of the large number of youth gathered, a Cleanliness Drive and Maintenance Drive was also conducted in the campus of the schools. With the tag line of “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”, the students were made aware of the importance and benefits of “Swacch Bharat Abhiyan”. Items for cleanliness were also distributed to the schools.
