Islamabad, Mar 17: Pakistan Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Saturday invited Baloch separatists to enter the national mainstream, ‘Express News’ reported.

Senate is the only institution where every province has equal representatives, Sanjrani told reporters after paying respects at Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s mausoleum. He said the election of an independent candidate as the upper house chairman bode well for the nation.

He thanked Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, co-chairman  Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on this account.  “Former prime minister Nawaz Shairf is our elder and he can say whatever he likes,” Sanjrani added.

Whoever has greatest support will become leader of the opposition, he said while commenting on the forthcoming development. I have written to all the political parties in the Senate on the election. This will happen seven days after the receipt of their replies, Sanjrani said.

Talking about Balochistan, the Senate Chairman said the situation in the province was much better than before. He urged Baloch separatists to become part of the national mainstream and strive for development. We will bring about legislation to facilitate their assimilation and guarantee jobs, Sanjrani said.
