Srinagar: President Employees Joint Action Committee Ab Qayoom Wani has termed the delay in issuance of 7th Pay Commission reckoner in favour of Govt employees and public sector employees as a serious concern for every employee of the state.
Wani, in a statement said that employees of the state have already opted to wait for one year in 2016 to provide a chance for regularisation of poor temporary, casual, daily wagers and other categories of employees and Govt. has already agreed in principle to implement 7th pay commission from the month of April 2018 besides removal of all pending anomalies of different departments for which Ex. Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu had made an announcement on the floor of Assembly in the budget session.
Wani said that the new Finance Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari is known for his employee friendly attitude and positive mindset and employees are waiting for good news from the Govt. regarding the issues already agreed.
Wani appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for reopening the cases of 9 employees terminated during 2016 unrest and demanded departmental enquiry into the matter to provide justice to the employees.
