Chairman Legislative Council visits TFC Chakan-Da-Bagh

POONCH, MARCH 17: Chairman State Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali today visited Trade Facilitation Center Chakan Da Bagh Poonch and reviewed the functioning of the Cross-LoC Trade.

He interacted with representatives of different agencies performing their duties there and advised them to work in close coordination to make TFC successful as this was the dream of Late Mufti Sayed Sahib to open such type of Crossing points to facilitate the people of both the sides to meet each other for peace and prosperity and for developing an atmosphere of confidence among them. He also favored the demand of opening such type of Crossing Points in other parts of the state including Kargil.

Custodian TFC Chakan Da Bagh, Tanveer Khan while briefing the Chairman about the trade, informed that every Monday passengers cross to either sides while trade is being carried on for four days in a week from Tuesday to Friday. He further informed that trade is being done by the traders of both sides of the LOC for only some approved items and is going on successfully except some incidents of unprovoked firing from other side.

Chairman also took a round of TFC to assess the system and functioning of Cross LoC Trade. He was accompanied by Showkat Hussain Kazmi RDSLR Peer Panjal, ASP Poonch Anwar and representatives of Customs and Excise, Security Personnel posted there.
