Tassaduq Mufti for creation of eco-friendly tourism infrastructure at Tattapani

JAMMU, MARCH 14: Minister for Tourism, Tassaduq Hussain Mufti today stressed upon the concerned agencies for taking measures to develop Tattapani, a best tourist destination besides, maintaining its rich heritage, habitat, diverse flora and fauna existing in the area.

The Minister was chairing a meeting of officers to review the status of various development works being executed by different agencies to develop tourism infrastructure at Tattapani.

Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Abdul Ghani Kohli was also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Minister sought details about the departmental assets, their up-gradation and renovation, capacity building programmes, management of the assets and promotional activities being taken up by the concerned for tourism industry development in the area.

Seeking details regarding various developmental initiatives being executed to develop Tattapani, the Minister was informed that various innovative measures are being undertaken to achieve the tangible results on ground.

The Minister stressed for holistic development of Tattpani to attract more tourists to the area. He also directed for developing and redesigning of Sarai establish by R&B department for the conveniences of tourists and people visiting the area.

Tassaduq Mufti directed for expediting pace of work and completing pending developmental works within the set deadlines, besides directed for completing construction works of washroom complex at Tattapani to avoid inconveniences faced by the people visiting the place.

Mufti said that the ground staff service conditions should also be improved so that they could serve the in a more professional manner, besides taking care of maintenance, landscape, plantation, sanitation and proper waste management.

He stressed for making teams to conduct recce, surveys and research for better planning and developing aesthetically rich structures in the area to boost and develop sustainable tourism infrastructure.

Seeking details regarding the need and scope of developing the infrastructure in the area, the Minister was informed that a view point and children park needs to be establish in the area.

Mufti directed the officers to synergize their efforts so that the requisite results are achieved within the stipulated timeframe and also get necessary feedback about the status of work and implementation of various initiatives on the ground.

Secretary Tourism Sarmad Hafeez, Chief Executive Officer Rajouri Dr Tahir and various concerned officials were also present in the meeting.
