Srinagar, Mar 14: Two persons were killed in a toad accident near Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Wednesday evening.
Police said that two persons died when a speedy truck (JK05C-6168) and Santro car (JK09-8208) collided head-on near Hamray Pattan, at around 7:45 pm on Wednesday, resulting in on-the-spot death of the two persons.
Police identified the deceased as Ashiq Ahmad War, son of Sanaullah War, and Azad Ahmad Pir, son of Mohammad Amin Pir, both residents of Handwara.
Police said both the vehicles were seized and driver of truck has been arrested while the medico-legal formalities are being completed.
