ISM organizes awareness prog at Baramulla

BARAMULLA, MARCH 12: A day-long awareness programme on “National AYUSH mission” was today organized here at Dak Bungalow

MLA Baramulla Javeed Hasan Beigh was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was organized by Directorate of Indian System of Medicine which marked the participation of various doctors, ASHA workers and other functionaries of Health and other departments.

On the occasion, District AYUSH officer Raja Amjad Ali presented a detailed account of the mission. He said that National health policy 2017 envisages access to AYUSH remedies through co-location in public facilities. He also said that National AYUSH mission is meant for strengthening and expansion of AYUSH services.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo complimented the concerned for organizing the programme.

On the occasion, Javeed Hasan Beig hailed the ISM authorities and said that welfare of the people should be their priority. He urged people to adopt the system of medicine, besides choosing it as a career opportunity.

Meanwhile, he said a District AYUSH hospital will be established in Baramulla and assured every possible support from his side.
