Geelani again barred from offering Friday prayers

Srinagar March 12: Paying tribute to Mohammad Essa Fazili, Syed Owais Shafi and Sabzaar Ahmad, slain in Hakura gunfight, Syed Ali Geelani said that insensitivity and unconcern by Indian authorities is the sole reason for this unabated bloodshed.

“These youths spilled their hot blood for the great and sacred cause of Kashmir and the entire nation of Kashmir is indebted to these martyrs for their ultimate sacrifice. It is the collective responsibility of the people of Kashmir and the leadership to take the ongoing movement to its ultimate realization,” Geelani said in a statement issued here.

Criticizing Indian authorities, Geelani said that instead of taking measures to resolve long pending issue in its historical perspective, they want to thrust their choice through barrel of gun.

Lashing out at PDP leadership, Syed Ali Geelani said that they are simply paid agents and added that these servants, even were cautioned by New Delhi, when Mehbooba Mufti in her tweet put some remarks on civilian killings in Shopian, was asked to remain silent, as it was none of their business to raise voice against excesses perpetrated by forces.

They have brought shame for themselves, said Geelani and added that despite humiliation and disregard by New Delhi, these turncoats continue to bow their heads and obey their directives without heeding to their conscience.
