The shepherd was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital in the unconscious state where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

A police officer when contacted told GNS that they have launched the investigations to ascertain the nature of the blast.

“It is premature to say anything what happened actually, some reports suggested that the shepherd stepped on a landmine which exploded resulting in his death,” the officer said, adding that it will get clear after proper investigations.

The area where the blast took place is army’s firing range, the officer said.
