Jammu: Highly placed sources said that PDP has dropped finance minister Dr Haseeb Drabu from the council of ministers.

The decision, sources said, was made following Drabu’s statement wherein he had reportedly said that Kashmir is not a political issue.

PDP Vice President Sartaj Madni had yesterday asked Drabu to retract the statement immediately.

Sources said that PDP has sent a letter to the Governor informing him of the party’s decision.

However, there was no official word about the development when this report was being filed.
