DDC Anantnag flags off silk rearing farmers for exposure tour

ANANTNAG, MARCH 11:  District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik today flagged off a bus carrying 30 silk rearing farmers on an exposure tour to Jammu for four days here at Dak Bungalow today.

The tour is being organised by Central Sericulture Research and Training Institute CSR&TI (CSB) Pampore in collaboration with Sericulture Development Department Anantnag

On the occasion, the DDC Anantnag said that need of the hour is to expose our farmers to new and modern techniques of farming and silk rearing so that our farmers get a better and quality yield

The progressive farmers will be exposed to new and viable techniques of silk rearing. They will interact with the silk rearing farmers of Jammu region to gain exposure, said director CSR&TI (CSB) Pampore. He added that such tours will be organised in future too.
