Anantnag police holds counselling session for youth

Srinagar, March 10: Anantnag police held a day long counselling session at SDPO Office in Kokernag which was attended by youths along with their parents and respectable citizens of the area.

A police spokesman, in a statement issued here said that  SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan in his endeavour to reach out to youth, organized a day long counseling session for the youth.

The session was aimed to create an understanding and build confidence among youth so that ways and means are found to prevent any conflicting environment which will help to maintain peace and normalcy in the region.

During the session SSP Anantnag impressed upon the youth to concentrate on career building, result oriented programs and work hard to make up the losses they have suffered during past because of law and order problem and other ugly events.

SSP Anantnag  advised the youth not to fall prey to the propaganda of anti-social and anti-national elements and instead channelize their energy in constructive and positive pursuits to contribute for the betterment of the whole region.

The youngsters were given patient hearing and their point of view was appreciated.

Many prominent citizens of the area also spoke on the occasion who appreciated the initiative of Anantnag Police. They also suggested to organise such sessions in future as well so that petty crimes, drug menace and other social crimes are brought to an end to save the lives and careers of youth and mitigate the suffering of common people.

On the occasion SDPO Kokernag Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, SHO Kokernag John Muzaffer and other officers were also present.
