Handwara, Mar 07: An Army soldier today shot himself to death with his service rifle while on duty in Langate area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, police said.
Birender Sinha (24) of 30RR shot himself dead with his service rifle around 06.45 hours on Wednesday.
He was on duty at Headquarters Langate. One bullet pierced his head, the official said.
It was not immediately known why he shot himself to death, he said.
