Burglary gang busted in Budgam, stolen property worth lacks recovered

Srinagar: Police in Beerwah has busted a burglary gang and recovered stolen propert.

A police spokesman, in a statement issued here today said that on  16 Feb, 2018  Police station Beerwah received a written complaint from one Tawseef Ahmad resident of  Beerwah to stating that during the intervening night of 15/16 February, 2018 some unknown burglars intruded into his shop located near sumo stand Beerwah and had stolen valuable items  like mobile phones,  mobile batteries, chargers and invertors etc.

On this report, a case FIR NO. 24/2018 under section 457,380 RPC was registered and investigation was taken up .

During the course of investigation, a police team led by SHO P/S Beerwah rounded up several suspects and strenuous efforts were made to nab the culprit.  Meanwhile, one suspect namely Waheed Ahmad son of  Ab. Rehman resident of Sutharan Khag admitted that he along with his 02 other associates namely Bilal Mantoo son of Ab. Hameed and Manzoor Sheikh son of Gh. Rasool both residents of  Sutharan had committed the burglary in the said shop and on their instance 64 number of mobiles, mobile batteries, charges and invertors etc worth lakhs were recovered. People of the area in general and shopkeepers in particular have hailed the efforts of the police and thanked for solving the theft case in shortest possible time.
