KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 22: The Department of Fisheries, Kupwara organized an intra-district exposure-cum-training tour for a group of 25 progressive fish farmers of the district today.
The farmers’ tour was flagged-off by Assistant Director Fisheries Showkat Ahmad Bhat. The group will visit different fish farms of the district to learn the ways and means adopted for better fish production.
On the occasion, Assistant Director interacted with the farmers and said that district is bestowed with natural water resources and there is a tremendous scope of fish farming which could help in addressing unemployment problem to a large extent.
He said the farmers will be imparted practical knowledge for better management and better growth of fish under latest available technology.
