BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 22: In order to give flip to fish sector in Bandipora district, the District Development Commissioner Bandipora Sajjad Hussain today launched stocking programme of fish seed by putting Brown Trout fish seed in Nallah Madhumati at Tourist Attraction place Athwatoo.
The concerned Officers and field staff of the Fisheries Department was present on the occasion.
The DDC on the occasion was informed that 60000 fish seed is being stocked in Nallah Madhumati and Nallah Arin this season to increase the production of fish in the District.
The DDC on the occasion directed the concerned to ensure proper protection of the tourist Nallahs and to improve fish production. He said nature has bestowed the district with natural resource of clean water which is basic requirement for sustaining of fish production.
