Fisheries Deptt Bandipora organizes farmers’ exposure tour

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 20: The Department of Fisheries organized an intra-district exposure-cum-training tour for a group of 25 progressive fish farmers of the district today.

The group will visit different fish farms of the district including Government as well as private fish units to learn the ways and means adopted for better fish production.

The Assistant Director Fisheries, Sajjad Hussain on the occasion interacted with the farmers and said that the district is bestowed with natural resources and there is a tremendous scope of fish farming.

He said that the farmers will be imparted practical knowledge for better management regarding feeding, cleanliness and better growth of fish under latest technology. He said adoption of new practices in the field can provide employment and entrepreneurship avenues to unemployed youth of the district.
