2 drug peddlers arrested in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, officials informed Thursday.
They said a police party during naka checking near Zangam Pattan intercepted a vehicle (DL4CAP-5100) and recovered 310 SpasmoProxyvon Plus tablets from the possession of Waheed Sultan Ganie alias Raaj Don, son of Mohammad Sultan Ganie, resident of Shirpora Pattan, travelling in the said vehicle.
At Delina Baramulla, police intercepted a vehicle (JK05B-1660) driven by one Rouf Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir of Model Town Sopore. During checking, 165 grams of cannabis-like substance were from it.
Both the accused persons have been arrested and shifted to respective police stations and the vehicles seized, police said, adding cases under relevant sections of law have been registered and further investigations initiated.
