2 burglary cases solved: Police

Srinagar: Police have solved two burglary cases in Baramulla by arresting the accused persons and recovered stolen properties from their possession, officials said Friday.

Acting on a complaint of one Bashir Ahmad Wani of Kreeri Baramulla about the theft of ₹30,000 in cash from his shop, police after registering a case rounded up one Syed Zaffar Shah, son of Syed Muzaffar Shah, resident of Yakhmanpora Pattan. During questioning, he confessed his involvement and on his disclosure, stolen cash was recovered, a police spokesman informed.

On another complaint of a burglary at a shop, police zeroed in on one Faizan Ahmad Gojri alias Pita, son of Mohammad Ramzan Gojri of Gojri Mohalla Palhallan, and recovered the stolen property on his disclosure.

Both the accused have been arrested and shifted to respective police stations where they remain in custody, police said.
