JKPCC chief says Azad deputed in J&K to benefit BJP

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president, Vikar Rasool Wani on Tuesday alleged that Ghulam Nabi Azad has been deputed to J&K ahead of elections to benefit Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing a press conference here, JKPCC chief said that Azad has been making “fraud statements” as he has been “tasked to defame” Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir.

He alleged that Azad has been making these statements on the directions of BJP.

“What prevented Azad from acting against the ministers during his tenure as chief minister in Jammu and Kashmir, who according to him were involved in unlawful activities,” he asked.
