Burglar arrested in Awantipora
Srinagar: Police on Saturday said it has solved a theft case in Awantipora by arresting an accused person.
Sharing details, police spokesman informed that on November 14, Police Station Awantipora received a complaint from Bashir Ahmad Haroon, son of Mohammad Jamal Haroon of Mahjoor Nagar Srinagar about the theft of his Tata Mobile vehicle (JK01AH-6293) together with 184 boxes of Banana, during the preceding night near Pandow Park, Awantipora.
A case was registered and during investigation, police was able to recover stolen vehicle. Some suspects were also questioned which pointed to the involvement of one Ashaq Hussain Shah, son of Mohammad Yousuf Shah of Nusu Badragund Qazigund in this theft.
Shah was arrested and he revealed involvement of another vehicle (JK18C-9578) in the theft, and subsequently that vehicle was also seized, police said.
