Down Syndrome Federation of India awards senior journalist Anzer Mohju at IIDSC-2022

Raipur (Chattisgarh): A 3-day conference that was organized by the Down Syndrome Federation of India concluded on September 18 in Mayfair Lake restaurant Raipur Chattisgarh.

The conference was organised for the specially-abled students affected with Downs Syndrome. Pertinently, Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused when abnormal cell division results in an extra full or partial copy of chromosome 21. This extra genetic material causes the developmental changes and physical features of Down syndrome.

At the said conference, a senior journalist from Baramulla who is also Vice President of BWJA and senior correspondent at Mirror of Kashmir Anzer Mohju was awarded for working in favor of Children affected with Downs Syndrome. 

Dr. Rekha Chairperson Down Syndrome Federation of India presented the award to him in presence of prominent doctors from India and abroad who participated in the said conference.

Colorful functions were organised at the conference in which hundreds of families of Down Syndrome Children participated.
