Comm Secy Revenue presides over grievances redressal camp at Kulgam

Listens to issues, demands of locals, PRI representatives

KULGAM: As part of the weekly Block Diwas initiative for taking governance to the doorsteps of common people, Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, who is also the incharge Secretary for district Kulgam presided over a grievances redressal camp at Mini Secretariat here.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat; SE R&B, ADC and other district and Sectoral officers, besides a large number of people attended the programme. 

The programme witnessed the participation of scores of individuals and deputations of people, PRI members who projected demands and apprised the Commissioner Secretary about the problems and issues faced by them for early redressal.

People from Kund, Sangus, Banimulla, Laroo, Lamad, Batpora, Chachamulla, Shorat, Laisoo and other areas participated in this block devas and put forth their Issues and demands for early redressal.

They also submitted a memorandum of demands highlighting issues including better road connectivity, drinking water supply in uncovered areas, augmentation of health infrastructure and other amenities.

Similarly, locals from Banimulla Jujjar Basti demanded to scale up work on the water supply scheme and the construction of roads for GujjarBasti. While as people from Kund Kanchloo demanded the construction of extra Bathrooms for the School.

Likewise, a delegation from Kund demanded macadamisation of Pirtaki Zadran road.

People from various other areas also flagged various demands and put forth their issues for early redressal before the Commissioner Secretary.

Officers on the spot responded to the queries and demands of people pertaining to their departments.

While interacting with locals and PRI representatives during the Block Diwas, the Commissioner Secretary assured them that their genuine demands and issues will be addressed on priority, while some of the grievances were also redressed on spot.

 

….inaugurates Amrit Sarovars developed, rejuvenated by RDD 

KULGAM, AUGUST 17: Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri took stock of the pace and progress on ongoing developmental works in Kulgam district.

The Commissioner Secretary, who is also incharge Secretary for district Kulgam, also visited Chambagund and took stock of ongoing works on the 10×40 meter Chambagund-Kulgam Bridge which is under execution of R&B being constructed at an estimated cost of 32 crore. He directed the officers of the executing agency to ensure the timely completion of the bridge within a given timeline.

Later, Bidhuri also inspected the work site of the PRI residential complex and took a first-hand appraisal of ongoing works there.

On the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary was informed that the project will come up with an estimated cost of cost 5.22 crore.

The Commissioner Secretary also took stock of ongoing works at Officers’ residential quarters at Liroo.

Earlier, the Commissioner Secretary inaugurated two Amrit Sarovars at Checkpora Ashmuji and a park Developed by the Rural Development Department at an estimated cost of 10 lakh.

It was informed by ACD on the occasion that a total of 233 Amrit Sarovars were developed and rejuvenated in Kulgam district which is the highest across J&K.

Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat, ADC, ACD, DSP Hq and other officers accompanied the Commissioner Secretary during the visit.

Earlier, the Commissioner Secretary also visited Centralized Digitization centre for Jamabandis (Land records) and took stock of Digitization process of Jamabandies there.
