Srinagar: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has launched the company’s latest high octane premium petrol named ‘XP-95’ in south Kashmir’s district Anantnag.

“Currently, Indian Oil Petrol pumps including Vaid Service Station (Bijbehara), Kanues Filling Station (Near Bus Stand), Dugga Brothers (Nai basti), KSK Zirpora (village Zirpora), Sangam Filling Station (Bijbehara, Sangam), Mehak Service Station (Wanpoh Bridge), Creasent Filling Station (Pujteng) are dispensing XP95 octane petrol by name of XP-95 along with normal petrol,” said a spokesperson of the IOCL.

“Depending on the vehicle model, XP95 gives an additional 3.95% fuel economy, reduces carbon monoxide emissions by up to 44%, hydrocarbon emissions by up to 13%, increases power by 4%, and ability to accelerate by 20.15%. Additionally, XP95 keeps engines clean and makes them more corrosion resistant,” he said.

“While the current market offering for branded gasoline comes with 91RON, XP95 imbues 95RON within it. The higher octane lowers the knocking tendency of the fuel which in turn increases thermal efficiency & superior clean combustion of fuel. XP95 is fast emerging as a popular fuel choice for the Indians on the move. The popularity of XP95 is a testimony to Indian Oil’s commitment to providing best-in-class service to its customers,” he added.

The sales officer of Indian Oil in Anantnag district, Deepak Kumar Meena urged the customers to use the XP-95 octane petrol from Indian Oil to enhance their vehicle mileage along with a reduction in maintenance charges. “A scheme is also going to be launched at the Indian Oil Petrol Pumps in Anantnag to promote the high-end fuel in which 20 customers can win Fuel worth 2000/- each from every Petrol Pump,” said Meena.
