Kashmir Images, BWJA, SNS Kashmir several socio-political orgs express condolence

Garkote (Uri): Mother of renowned broadcaster and editor Sherbeen-a well-known current affairs program of All India Radio Srinagar Maqsood Ahmad and aunt of Zaffar Iqbal correspondent Kashmir Uzama passed away after a brief illness at SMHS Srinagar on Monday morning.

Hameeda Begum wife of Khawaja Mohammad Haniefd was laid to rest at her native village Garkote Uri and a large number of people from a cross-section of society participated in the funeral prayers (Namaz Jinaza).

Baramulla Working Journalist Association (BWJA) and North Kashmir Journalist Association   Chairman Karamat Qayoom reached Garkote to participate in funeral prayers and express condolence and solidarity with Maqsood Ahmad and Zaffar Iqbal and extended sympathies with the bereaved family.

President BWJA Zargar Gulzar in a statement issued here said, “BWJA stands with renowned broadcaster and Editor Shaherbeen- Maqsood Ahmad and its member Zaffar Iqbal in this hour of grief and expresses solidarity with the bereaved family.” BWJA members prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in peace and grant strength to the family to bear the loss.

A large number of people from a cross-section of society including various journalists, and socio-political and religious organizations have expressed their condolences and prayed for eternal peace departed soul.

Hameeda Begum was 74; she was laid to rest at the ancestral graveyard at Bilalabad Garkote where a large number of people participated in her funeral prayers.

Various journalists and social, political, and religious organizations have expressed their condolences and prayed for eternal peace departed soul. North Kashmir President National Conference Dr. Sajad Shafi and Fayaz Bukhari Kashmir Uzma extended their condolences and sympathies on the demise.

Meanwhile, Chairman Human Aid Society Kashmir Bashir Ahmad Mir has also expressed his condolences and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace and grant strength to the family, especially Maqsood Sahib, to bear the loss.

Kashmir Images family and SNS Kashmir family also expressed their heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
