J&K logs 169 COVID cases, two deaths
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday recorded 169 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), while two more persons succumbed to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, officials said.
They said 101 of the fresh cases were from Kashmir and 68 from Jammu division, while as both fresh deaths were reported from the Kashmir Valley.
Officials said 107more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 87 from Kashmir and 20 from the Jammu division.
No new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today.
On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 62,682 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 1,86,48,550.
According to the bulletin, out of 3,41,459 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far across Jammu and Kashmir, currently there are 1,397 active positive cases in the UT, including 927 in Kashmir and 470 in Jammu division, while as 3,35,532 persons have recovered and 4,530 have died – 2,331 in Kashmir and 2,199 in Jammu division.
