Pulwama: Wildlife department on Saturday caught a black bear in Saimoh village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Official sources in the department said that a black bear was roaming in the area for the past few days, striking fear and panic among the locals of the village.

They said a team of wildlife officials reached the area and installed a cage there and caught the bear on Saturday.

Locals have thanked the wildlife officials for their efforts and said that now they will be able to go to orchards for their work.

“Few more bears are roaming in the area,” they said, while requesting authorities to make efforts to capture them as well.
