J&K logs 95 new COVID cases, no death in last 24 hours

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday reported 95 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the cumulative cases detected so far to 3,32,249 while no virus-related death was recorded in the last 24 hours, officials said.

They said of the fresh cases, 89 were reported from Kashmir and six from Jammu division.

Moreover, 79 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 71 from Kashmir and eight from Jammu division in the last 24 hours.

Officials also said that no new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 48,087 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K so far to 1,46,39,890.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,32,249 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 902 active positive cases across J&K, including 801 in Kashmir and 10 in Jammu division, while as 3,26,915 persons have recovered and 4432 have died – 2,256 in Kashmir and 2,176 in Jammu division.
