J&K reports 101 fresh COVID-19 cases, no related death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday recorded 101 fresh cases of COVID-19 even as no virus-related death was reported, officials said.

They said of the fresh cases, 90 were reported from Kashmir and 11 from the Jammu division, taking the total number of positive cases detected so far in Jammu and Kashmir to 3,32,154.

They said 87 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, including 71 from Kashmir and 16 from Jammu division, in the last 24 hours.

Officials also said no new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 63,155 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K so far to 14,590,656.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,32,154 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 886 active positive cases across the UT, including 783 in Kashmir and 103 in Jammu division, while as 3,26,836 persons have recovered and 4,432 have died – 2,256 in Kashmir and 2,176 in Jammu division.
