IRRT celebrates 19th Annual Day

Felicitates grassroots level social workers

Srinagar: Islamic Research & Relief Trust Kashmir (IRRT) Thursday celebrated its 19th Annual Day at Shahanshah Hotel Boulevard Srinagar.

Those who attended the event come from various walks of life.

Advocate Abdul Rashid Hanjura founder of IRRT highlighted the work done by the IRRT for the poor and orphans.

In his speech, he said that we are planning to establish an orphanage and daycare centre for elderly people. “We have established a health clinic for the poor section of the society,” he added.

Retd Justice B.A Kirmani, who attended the event as a Chief Guest, threw light on the need to work together to uplift the downtrodden section of society.

Dr. G.N Itto, Guest of Honour, highlighted the essence of social work and impressed upon the audience to contribute their time, money and effort for the cause.

Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Ganie, Roshan Ara also spoke on the occasion and expressed their views.

Famous radio broadcaster, Shamshad Kralwari, conducted the proceedings of the program in his unique style.

Those who were facilitated on the occasion felicitated for their sterling service in the field of social work included Chairman Human Aid Society Kashmir, Bashir Ahmed Mir, Director Tourism, Dr G.N Itoo,  Dr Mushtaq Ah Ganiee, Dr Sajad Ah Kangoo, Zahoor Ah Shoora (Editor Daily Rooshni) and Dr Mursa Shamshaad.
