Sopore: “Pedal against Drugs” cycling event organized by Adventure Wing of Sopore under the aegis of J&K Hussaini Sports Club was organized on Sunday.

The event was held from Main Chowk Sopore to Govt. Hr. Sec. Instt. Botingoo. Around 80 cyclists in three categories from various areas of Baramulla participated in this championship.

Sudhanshu Verma-IPS, SSP Sopore, was the chief guest on the occasion among others were present are Aadil Teli (Cycling Guinness World Book Recorder) Mohammad Mustafa Principal Botingoo, SHO Warpora and SHO Sopore, Advocate Azim Pandith, Sr. Members of JKHSC Ahsan Ali, Rafiq Dar and Vilayat Hussain. The Chief Guest gave away prizes to position holders.

In the Sub Junior category Mohd. Aman got position place while Abu Bakar & Saad got second & third position. in the junior group Arfat Bashir got the first position while Asif Teli & Adnan Bashir got second & third positions respectively, in the senior group Manan Hassan won the Championship while as Nadeem and Aqib retained second and third spot.

The event was organized by Adventure Wing of Sopore under the leadership of Miss Qurat Ul Ain and her team and was sponsored by Star Tech, Mann Te Salva, Ali Infra & was supported by J&K Police & Health Department.

General Secretary JKHSC, Ahsan Ali thanked participants, officials, guests and sponsors for making the event a grand success.
