RTO Kashmir asks officers to ensure corruption-free system

‘Strict action to follow against erring officers, officials’

Srinagar: The Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir, Sajid Yehaya Naqash, today chaired a meeting of Assistant Regional Transport Officers (ARTO’s) of Kashmir Division to review the functioning of the Division and District offices, here.

During the meeting, the RTO took serious cognizance of grievances and complaints received from the public. He stressed on officers to ensure transparency and a corruption-free system in working.

Naqash made it clear to the officers that there is zero-tolerance against corruption and any irregularity in exercising the duty shall be viewed seriously. He also warned them that anybody who would indulge in any misdeeds will be dealt with strict action.

He further enjoined upon the officers to adopt a complete online system for all the activities of the department to ensure the least citizen interface.

Besides, he asked officers to work for the convenience of the general public and address their issues in the most hassle-free manner.

The meeting was attended by all the ARTO’s and other officials of the department.
