Yusuf Pathan conducts workshop cum practice session at Lolab Valley

Srinagar: The Indian Army organized a workshop cum practice session for the budding cricketers of north Kashmir at Chandigam Model Village ground, Lolab Valley.

The workshop was conducted by renowned Indian Cricketer, Yusuf Pathan.

“A total of 50 budding cricketer’s from Kupwara, Handwara, Bandipora and adjoining districts attended the workshop and benefitted on aspects of batting/bowling techniques shown by Mr Yusuf Pathan,” said PRO Defence Srinagar.

“During the interaction, the sporting icon, with his trademark flamboyance, used his ‘All Rounder’ expertise to hone skills and talent of young cricketers. He motivated the youngsters to pick up correct techniques and work hard with passion and dedication,” the PRO said.

“Mr Yusuf Pathan also interacted with Master Sikender Hyder Mir, six years and aspiring member of the Under 14 Cricket team of UT of J & K. Sikender Hyder Mir is hopeful for being named in Guinness Book of World Records for being the youngest cricketer in the world,” he said.

“The day-long Cricket Workshop by Yusuf Pathan has left a lasting impact on the youth of the region and has given a favourable impetus to the overall upliftment of Sports in the region,” he added.
