Covid: J&K records 347 fresh cases, 2 deaths

88.41 percent of population above age of 45 years vaccinated across the UT

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 347 new Covid-19 positive cases and also two infection related deaths on Sunday.

Officials said that 203 were tested positive from Kashmir whileas Jammu division reported 144 positive cases and two deaths.

With the fresh cases, the total number of such cases has risen to 316976 and the subsequent death toll has climbed to 4337 – 2115 in Jammu and 2222 in Kashmir division, officials said.

They said that out of 316976 positive cases, 3967 are Active Positive, and 308672 have recovered so far.

The officials said that Srinagar reported 75 fresh cases; Baramulla, 10; Budgam, 31; Pulwama, 13; Kupwara, 14; Anantnag, 18; Bandipora, 16; Ganderbal, 19 cases; Kulgam, 06 and; Shopian reported one fresh case.

In Jammu division, Jammu reported 13 fresh cases; Udhampur, 06; Rajouri, 10; Doda, 13; Kathua, 02; Samba, 02; Kishtwar, 04; Poonch, 11; Ramban, 08 and; Reasi reported 75 fresh cases.

The officials informed that 88.41 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir and no confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 30 in the UT of J&K.
