NC, PC, Apni Party condole demise of Mufti Faiz Ul Waheed

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Member of Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah, and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Tuesday expressed profound grief over the demise of Mohtamim Madrasa Maarif Ul Quran, Bathandi, Mufti Faiz Ul Waheed, who breathed his last earlier today.

In their condolence message, the Party President and Vice President paid rich tributes to late Mufti sahib saying that he will be remembered for his ease of illuminating exposition of Islamic tenants and various facets of the holy Quran and the Hadith. Late Mufti sahib, the duo said, was a highly erudite personality with illustrious works in the field of jurisprudence and translation of various Arabic texts to his credit. In his passing away, they said, Jammu and Kashmir has lost a scholar, who had made teaching and peacebuilding his sole purpose in life. The president and Vice President prayed for peace to the departed in the highest stations of Jannat. They also expressed unison with his admirers, family and friends in their hour of grief and loss.

Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Mustufa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani have also paid glowing tributes to Mufti sahib, prayed for eternal peace to his soul and forbearance to the bereaved. The functionaries have expressed unison with the bereaved family, friends and admirers of his in their hour of grief.

Meanwhile, the party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial Vice President Muhammad Syed Akhoon, District President Peer Afaq Ahmed, have also expressed grief over the demise of Ghulam Ahmed War former Halqa president, Aanchaar, Soura. YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar today visited his residence to offer condolences to the bereaved.

Meanwhile, in a condolence message, PC spokesman termed Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed’s demise as a major loss for the society, stating that his passing away has left a void in the scholarly community that will be extremely difficult to fill in.

The spokesman said that Mufti sahab’s greatest contribution that will be remembered for times to come is his literary rich translation of Holy Quran into Gojri language. His others works like Ahkaam-e- Mayyat, ‘Siraj-um-Muneera’ and ‘Namaz Kae Masayil Quran-o-Hadees Ki Roshni Mei’ will act as a guiding light for the scholars of the Islamic world to prosper and progress in their quest for knowledge and wisdom.

Party has prayed to Allah to grant the deceased highest place in Jannah and patience to the bereaved family to bear this loss.

Meanwhile, former Minister and senior Peoples Conference leader Syed Basharat Bukhari has also expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed, stating that the deceased made significant contributions to Islam, spirituality and reforms in the society.

In his condolence message, Bukhari recalled his meeting with Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed and said that the renowned Islamic scholar was humble, forthright and a far-sighted scholar. He was equally respected in political, social, civil and all sections of the society.

Meanwhile, in a condolence message issued here, Bukhari expressed solidarity with the Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed’s family members and prayed for the peace to the departed soul.

He said Mufti Saheb’s demise has created a void in society as he was an inspirational personality towards the right path of peace.

During his lifetime, he said, the deceased scholar advocated Islamic way of life and simplicity.

His work and contribution to the society as an intellectual who translated the Holy Quran into Gojri Language and also authored several books will always be remembered, he added.
