Two oxygen generating units of 1000 lpm capacity made operational at SMHS

Srinagar: After successful installation and trial, the authorities from Mechanical Engineering Department (MED) on Saturday made two oxygen generation units fully operational at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital.

Two new pressure swing adsorption oxygen generating plants of 1000 LPM were installed at SMHS hospital, officials told Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

One oxygen unit of 1000 LPM has been connected to the wards and the other unit will be connected by later evening, MED official informed.

He said that after successful installation and trial of the two 1000 LPM, Pressure Swing Adsorption oxygen generating plants were made functional at SMHS hospital, adding that with the addition of the two more Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen generating plants at SMHS hospital, the total availability of the oxygen at the hospital has reached to 5600 LPM now.

Pertinently, on 17th May, Jammu and Kashmir administration received seven PSA oxygen generating plants following which Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. (KNO)
