DIG south Kashmir reviews security scenario at Awantipora

Srinagar: Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Range Anantnag Abdul Jabar-IPS today visited Police District Awantipora and reviewed the security scenario, anti-terrorist operations and other crime works, said a police spokesperson.

“During his visit, DIG SKR held meeting with SSP Awantipora, SDPOs & SHOs of the Police District and discussed different security measures taken for the maintenance of overall peace in the Police District,” the spokesperson said.

“SSP Awantipora Mohd Yousif-JKPS gave a detailed presentation regarding the security scenario and briefed the DIG about current situation in the Police District including anti-terrorist operations, maintenance of law & order and progress of investigation of the cases,” he said.

“DIG SKR urged upon the officers to strengthen the general security grid of their respective areas to ensure peace. He also urged upon the officers to speedily investigate the cases in professional manner for their logical conclusion. He also appreciated the efforts of Awantipora police in combating the Coronavirus and maintaining law and order in the district,” he added.
