Father of journalist Syed Tahir-ul-Haq passes away
BWJA, NKJA, EJAC, NC express condolence
Baramulla: Noted religious scholar Syed Abdul Haq Bukhari father of senior journalist and Early Times Correspondent Syed Tahir-ul-Haq of Kreeri Baramulla passed away after brief illness on Friday late evening at SKIMS Soura.
North Kashmir Journalist Association and Baramulla Working Journalist Association (BWJA)’s delegation led by Chairman Haji Karamat Qayoom visited Kreeri to express condolence and solidarity with their senior member and senior journalist Syed Tahir-ul-Haq and extended sympathies with the bereaved family.
Syed Abdul Haq Bukhari elder son of renowned poet Khamosh Kreeri was laid to rest in Kreeri and large number of people from cross-section of society participated in the funeral prayers (Nimaz Jinaza). The deceased was paternal uncle of Syed Basharat, Editor-in Chief of English Daily Newspaper Kashmir Despatch.
Various journalists, social, political and religious organizations have expressed their condolences and prayed for eternal peace departed soul.
Meanwhile, Chairman Human Aid Society Kashmir Bashir Ahmad Mir also expressed his condolences and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace and grant strength to the family, especially Tahir-ul Haq to bear the loss. Kashmir Images family and SNS Kashmir expressed their heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and pray for peace to the departed soul.
Employees Joint Action Committee JK(EJAC) expressed grief.
JKNC Vice President North Kashmir Dr Sajjad Shafi Uri has expressed shock over the demise and has conveyed heartfelt condolence with the bereaved family.
