Two arrested with heroin worth crores

Srinagar: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) raided a hotel in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar on Wednesday and recovered around one kilogram of heroin worth crores of rupees from two persons of Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Sources said that a team of CIK headed by DySP headquarters raided a Hotel in Lal Chowk and recovered 998 grams of heroin from the possession of two persons.

The persons were identified as Zameer Ahmed Mongryal son of Khursheed Ahmed Mongryal and Sajad Ahmed son of Ghulam Rasool, both residents of Uri.

The duo has been arrested and further investigation has been launched into the matter, sources said.
