J&K reports nine deaths, 512 new Covid-19 positive cases
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday recorded 512 new positive cases of COVID-19, while nine deaths took place in the last 24 hours, taking the number of cases to 96,700 and the death toll to 1,511, officials said.
Out of the fresh cases, 186 were from Jammu division and 326 from Kashmir valley, they said.
The officials said Srinagar district recorded the highest of 135 cases, followed by 98 in Jammu.
There are 5,935 active cases, while 89,254 patients have recovered so far, the officials said.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory reported nine COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours with seven from Jammu division and two from the Kashmir Valley, taking the death toll in the pandemic in Jammu and Kashmir to 1,511.
